ILLINOIS HUMANITIES COUNCIL CONDUCTS FALL BOARD MEETING AT THE ABRAHAM LINCOLN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY IN SPRINGFIELD

CHICAGO -The Illinois Humanities Council (IHC) Board of Directors will hold its fall board meeting at the new Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library in Springfield (112 North Sixth Street) on Friday, September 30, 2005. The Board will convene in the morning in the Lincoln Reception Room. Items on the agenda for this meeting include a discussion of the FY2006 budget and a review of major grant proposals. In addition, IHC board and staff will have the opportunity to tour the new Library and Museum.Currently, 28 members comprise the Illinois Humanities Council Board of Directors. They are:

The Illinois Humanities Council is a nonprofit educational organization [501 (c) 3] dedicated to fostering a culture in which the humanities are a vital part of the lives of individuals and communities.
